Galerie Poller focuses on contemporary photography and especially young emerging artists, who are just starting to gain international recognition by winning awards or having their first museum show. Pursuing an international program with artist like BAE Bien-U, Nicolai Howalt, Brian McKee a strong focal point lies on German artists emphasizing new perspectives af-ter the generation of Bernd Becher and Thomas Ruff as Astrid Korntheuer or Joachim Schulz.
Based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany the gallery decided in January 2002 to specialize on contemporary photography only. This move paid off as Galerie Poller is now one of the leading galleries for photography worldwide and opened up a second space in the heart of Chelsea, New York to pay tribute to its international clientele and program.
