From Tuesday 8 until Sunday 13 June, we have something a little different from our usual art exhibitions.
Devon Weavers Workshop presents Shifting Strands: an exhibition of constructed textiles, including rugs, wall hangings, cushions, bags, woven apparel and scarves. Also on display will be a selection of looms, and members of the workshop will demonstrate their techniques throughout the exhibition.
See http://www.harbourhouse.org.uk/gallery-DevonWeavers10.html for more information about the history of this successful local workshop.

Are you an artist in search of a venue to exhibit your work?

Harbour House in Kingsbridge invites applications from artists keen to show their work in the ground floor gallery of this fine converted Georgian house. The gallery is light and spacious, with high ceilings and large windows, and stands in a prominent position at the head of the Salcombe Estuary.

Harbour House Arts Co-ordinator Alison Veazey explains, "the selection opens once a year, and artists may apply to hold an exhibition for one or two weeks. The gallery lends itself equally well to group exhibitions and solo shows. Our small selection panel includes two invited artists, whose experience is invaluable to us in scheduling a diverse programme of exhibitions through the year."

For artists hoping to hold an exhibition during 2010, applications need to be received at Harbour House by 1 July 2009.

For further information contact the team at Harbour House on 01548 854708, or see www.harbourhouse.org.uk

DAN BALDWIN Print

Eyestorm exclusive limited edition print, The Future Frontline Renegades of Dead London by acclaimed artist Dan Baldwin

Large in scale at 1m x 1m in size, and in an extremely low edition of just 15, this striking new print is what Eyestorm, in collaboration with Dan Baldwin, felt the art world currently needs following the mass production of high edition prints over the past couple of years.

Eyestorm creative director Angie Davey said: “We wanted to bring back the 'unique' element that can be applied to printmaking, achieved here by Dan hand-finishing each piece, so they become more like one-off works than limited edition prints.”

maria pestana art gallery online intends to provide a commercial launch of the art works of selected international artists.

We will have a monthly exhibition. We  have the pleassure to presnt the art works by Iller Incerti

Iller Incerti (Italy) finds his inspiration from his social compromise towards social issues. The use of photography and painting helps to embody his paintings with dramatic or ironic meanings. Writing marks in his works a parallel discourse in which shows his discontent with society, or moves the viewer. Sometimes, irony disturbs us. Photography stops to represent the real object since the subject is transformed by different levels of meanings.

He has widely exhibited at Italy (Firenze, Roma, Milan, Ravena), Spain (Madrid, Barcelona), and Yugoslavia.
