Stalke Galleri Stalke was founded in 1987 in Copenhagen, and from the early beginning, we have exhibited several generations of Danish and international artists such as William Anastasi, Lawrence Weiner, Thorbjørn Lausten, Dove Bradshaw, and Albert Mertz. They have all grown up from the generation of Conceptual Art. Examples of representatives of the younger generation of artists are Nikolaj Recke, Kaj Nyborg, Olafur Eliasson, Kristleifur Björnsson, Anne Bennike just to mention a few - that all play an important part of the history of Stalke. Stalke Out Of Space Stalke Out Of Space travels as an institution from room to room. This allows for a new definition of the concept of “gallery” in that the gallery moves in relation to the individual room, to its meaning and forum as well as in relation to the artist’s use of these components. This idea was founded in 1990. Stalke Up North Stalke Up North in Gilleleje, North Sealand in Denmark, is the youngest member of the Stalke family, and is proof of the unique cooperation that has existed since 1994 between the owner and daily leader, Camilla Rohde Madsen and the man behind Stalke since the very beginning, Mr Sam Jedig. Stalke Up North functions as a smaller gallery space, where the focus is on the younger conceptual art, in the shape of video installations, painting, photography, drawing and sculpture. Stalke Collection We also invite our visitors to gain an insight into the Stalke Collection, We have built up a major collection of artworks from the 60s to the present, and the mission from the very beginning was to collect a range of ambitious artworks, and also to create a dynamic interchange between the Danish and the international art scene on many different levels. Welcome Sam Jedig
