vierter stock (fourth floor) was born in fact as a theme for the dissertation to finish MA Studies in Culture & Management. After long discussions, a couple of coffee pots and some good wines; the first abstract mental drawing started taking form. After a lucky strike vierter stock felt into her hands. Just one thing had still to be done: open it!
The objective of vierter stock is to support creative ideas. Young artists as well as renowned find a new ceiling to work under. The invited artist can find inspiration in vierter stock's rooms, create a project in its rooms or show an already existing work.
vierter stock is an initiative from Creixell Espilla-Gilart. CEG was born in Katalonia (Spain), graduated in History of Art at the UdL in Spain and the FU Berlin. Starting her experience in the art world at the gallery Wohnmaschine in Berlin, she keeps on developing her profile as a curator for several international projects, one of the latest for Fundació "la Caixa" in Spain. CEG works as the Project Manager for the VOLTAshow in Basel and New York.
